• Full Membership
• Any Police Force, Customs Authority or serving officers of such a body. (Such Police Forces or Customs Authorities may include up to four full members in one group membership)

• Group Membership
• The representative(s), up to a maximum of four, of any organization not being a full member, currently having responsibility for formulating, recommending or executing security, safety of law enforcement policy, for the international transport of persons or property (voting member).

• Associate Membership
• The representative(s), up to a maximum of four, of any organization not being a Full Member, currently having responsibility for formulating, recommending or executing security, safety or law enforcement policy, for the international transport of persons or property.

• Retired Membership
• An individual who is a former Full or Associate Member and retired from any Law Enforcement, Customs Authority, or Port-related Security Agency, and who is no longer involved with Law Enforcement, Security or related consulting work.

• Life Membership
• A member, who upon a vote in favor of a resolution carried by simple majority of voting members present at an Annual General meeting, is deemed to have served the Association with honor and distinction.

• Honorary Membership
• An individual, who upon a vote in favor of a resolution carried by simple majority of voting members present at an Annual General meeting, is deemed to have rendered distinguished service to the safety, security or law enforcement of persons or property being transported between nations. Honorary membership may be withdrawn, for cause, by a majority vote of the membership

• Affiliate Membership
• A limited benefit member category for any individual involved with law Enforcement or Security-related responsibilities for the safety and security of persons and/or property. Affiliate Members are NOT entitled to vote, or serve on any IAASP Boards or Committees or have access to confidential "Members Only" area on the IAASP Web Site. Membership dues and benefits provided will be set at the discretion of the International Board.
